WOULD SHE FOLLOW YOU BLINDLY?

Guys, I have a poser
Q:'A wife will follow her husband blindfolded if she is convinced that the husband knows where he is going? True or False?

A:The question is straightforward:
The best way is to ask, like I always counsel:
What is this poser saying ?
How is it said?
Why is it said?

What
The questioner is interested in three key words (words if not present would make the sentence nonsense.

What are the effective words?
1. Follow
2. Convinced
3. Going

Take those out, the sentence is unreadable.
The 'what' of the question is-'can a follower follow without being convinced the leader is going somewhere'
And the other side of the 'what' is the subject matter: wife and he(husband). So this is a marriage talk.

How
How should you resolve this poser. What poser? Would a  wife blindly follow a husband! A seeing husband or a looking husband. See Jer 1:11 and Zechariah 4:1-7 for the difference between seeing and looking. Basically, a seeing husband understands the things of the spirit, just like Jeremiah was able to see, but a looking husband has no spiritual sight. Zechariah could not see the importance of the things he saw, until the angel interpreted them for him. So how can she follow a blind man? And in what way?

The problem usually starts from the choice of partner in marriage. Ps 11:3 says if the foundation be wrong what can the righteous do.

The emphasis is on marriage, the classics for marriage is in Gen 2:18-25 and best interpreted in Eph 5:21-33.  There are other passages but they are all complementary.
Since this poser is about the wife, it's best to stay on verse 22-24
“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.”

As a matter of fact, there is no part of the above scripture where the woman or the man is asked to pray!!
I dare say, there is nothing to pray about. In marriage you require hearing above all the other senses!

Why
The 'why' is in verses 22-24; 29;33.
Let me break it down-
a. No wife can submit to her husband without the help of the Holy Spirit
b. The level of the submission is as the church to Christ.
c. No one can submit to Christ except  by the Holy Spirit. That is where your conviction from the heart comes, not convincing. Rm10:8-10...the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, thats the word of faith which we preach, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart the Lord Jesus, that God had raised him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
d. Because it takes the Holy Spirit to convict us to accept Christ.
e. If Holy Spirit helps to obtain salvation, and a gathering of saved people make up the church, it follows that only a man found in Christ is marriageable for a Christian woman.
f. The Holy Spirit helped him find the woman. The woman does not need any convincing to submit to what she and others in the church already possess.
g. Because she's required to submit to the man as she(church) submits to Christ.
h. Do u need any persuasion or convincing to follow the Holy Spirit? Does the church(saved) needs such persuasion to follow Christ or submit to him!
i. If you do, then you are not a follower. You have become a leader! You are not a servant, you are a master
j. You are warring against yourself and hitting your head against the wall.

Conclusion- so It's true, the wife does not need any convincing to follow. Because the man as a matter of course, who is in church(saved) has a leading from the Holy Spirit! And, like my wife would say: If he's about to lead you into the ditch, the Holy Spirit will intervene. Hence we counsel, our ladies: please marry right, and definitely a born again Christian. Don't take a chance.
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”
II Corinthians 6:14 NKJV

NB: Understanding 1 Cor 7:14.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

Firstly this passage is not for the singles. It is not a license for Christian singles to go and marry or propose to unbelievers. Holy Spirit will not ask a single Christian guy or lady to marry an unbeliever.

Paul was writing to a new church in Corinth. There were those who had already married where one of the parties in marriage had accepted Christ and had become a believer, and wanting to leave the unbelieving spouse. Paul knowing that could break the family and put the children to misery, he counselled that such person should not leave the spouse unless he or she wants to leave.
