APRIL: THE MONTH I RETURN, WASHED IN HIS BLOOD

APRIL: THE MONTH I RETURN...WASHED IN HIS BLOOD.
Luke 15 v 11-32
I wonder how men were going to judge David if they had the privilege...I guess it would have been harsh and with no holds bar or no prisoner taken... May you never be at the mercy of man. David chose God because of His mercy and the fact that he knew him and that he would not count his sins against him, if he truly repented.
There comes a time when what you need is mercy and complete forgiveness. A time of repentance and expectation that indeed on this occasion you might have really messed up, and you really deserve to be punished but to what extent? At occasions like these, you want God to be the disciplinarian, not man, because some men have been waiting for a time like this to punish you and ridicule you. But God will not allow them.
The prodigal son decided to go back home to suffer in the hands of his daddy(God), than waste in the harsh land of man's oppression. Many of us don't want to come back home because we always think we are coming back to man to be punished, and we know men punish without mercy. This month I say, come back to God, come home to His mercy. Its the month that you will enjoy grace and love beyond belief. Psalm 102 v 12-22 clearly says that there are some mercies that bring favour. These are....for the destitute, for the prisoners, for the ones appointed for death, for the ones who are poor. God says come home, and return without fear, he has heard you and will not turn away from you. His blood has healed you, he died on the cross to save you and wash you ready for his salvation.
That woman reading this piece, your sin may be so terrible, but can it be as terrible as the sin of the woman caught in adultery? No...Jesus said let the one who knew no sin cast the first stone, no one was able to stand up and cast that stone. Why, because all have sin and have fallen short of his glory. Our righteousness are like filthy rags. Isaiah 64 v 6. So, stop blaming yourself, he has forgiven you and his death on the cross has cleansed you. Hey man, do not be downcast or rejected because of the past or your perceived sin. Confess it and God who promised to forgive and cleanse you, will indeed wash and honour you. Isaiah 1v18.

So this month, lets come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. God will defend you and honour you. Amen
